Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, debug, implement, and document programs.
• Assist in modifying systems and applications to meet client requirements.
• Analyze program and system requirements and prepare supporting documentation.
• Design applications and application suites to satisfy customer specifications.
• Translate complex design documents into component-level designs.
• Develop strategies, design approaches, and test plans for application solutions.
• Apply client and 3rd-party technologies in software solutions.
• Resolve production support issues and suggest alternative approaches.
• Develop and execute regression testing strategies.
• Create, maintain, and update technical documentation such as design and testing documents.
• Conduct quality assurance activities including peer reviews.
• Remain current with technical trends, development methodologies, and industry standards.

Skills:

• C programming, including performance optimization, memory management, and debugging
• SQL (preferably embedded in C) with Oracle databases
• Linux/Unix environments, shell scripting, and process management
• SOAP and RESTful interfacing, JSON
• IDE usage (Visual Studio Code or similar) including debugger tools
• Version control (TFS, Git, or similar)
• Healthcare and Medicare systems experience

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3+ years of product design and support experience
• Experience in software design, software development lifecycle, and development methodologies
• Analytical, problem-solving, creative thinking, and design skills
• Experience with appropriate programming languages, operating systems, hardware, and software
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
