What You Will Do:

As the Warehouse Manager you will ensure the branch environment is safe for Employees and Customers alike, while overseeing the day-to-day warehouse operations, maintenance, and warehouse-related equipment.

Your Top Accountabilities in the Role:

  • Promotes a safe work environment through continuous enforcement of the company safety policies and procedures.
  • Provides training in all aspects of warehouse operation, including forklift, and other warehouse equipment to ensure safety and efficiency within the warehouse.
  • Develops employees through mentoring and coaching to ensure continuous improvement toward the department goals.
  • Processes incoming/outgoing shipments and ensures all company audit procedures are followed for inventory accuracy.
  • Delegates work to the warehouse team and manages the scheduling of the warehouse to ensure order processing and shipping are handled timely.
  • Continuously stays up to date on new, discontinued, back orders/supply issues, or out of stock products to ensure appropriate communication with the customer.

Position Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year of prior related experience and/or training. Prior work experience with stone, granite, or slabs is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Implements all safety requirements specified by the Branch and Safety Manager.
    • Takes an active role in re-directing Employees, reporting deficiencies, and suggesting improvements.
    • Take note of changing conditions (weather, etc.) and adjust procedures accordingly.
    • Confirm the accuracy of orders leaving the warehouse inventory.
    • Supervise the work activities of those personnel to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the warehouse. Divide the tasks to be completed as equally as possible among the warehouse staff, based on their experience and expertise.
  • Certifications: Ability to be forklift certified - as needed per location.
  • Technology Aptitude/Other : Basic computer skills working within a Microsoft Windows, Email, and ERP related programs, along with solid data entry skills.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of Customers or Employees of organization. Ability to speak Spanish helpful.

Other Important Information:

  • Reports To: Branch Manager
  • Work Schedule: 7:00 am - 5:00 pm (45 hours per week) start and end time may change as needed for the operation.
  • Direct Reports : 10-15 Warehouse Workers
  • Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the Employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The Employee works with and in proximity to material handling equipment including forklifts. The Employee works with and in proximity to packaged, cement-based products such as grouts and cleaning and sealing chemicals for tile and stone. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Physical Requirements: The employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle and feel, and to talk and hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
