  • OWN Real Estate
  • Millbrae, CA

Job Description

We’re not your average real estate team. With 20 agents and a full in-house support staff, we consistently rank among the top teams in the Bay Area. Our YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok channels reach millions of views every month, and our marketing is the reason we dominate our markets. We treat content like the superpower it is—and we need a world-class creator to help us take it to the next level.

The Role: Full-Time Content Creator (Videographer + Photographer)

This isn’t a “point-and-shoot” gig. You’ll own the entire creative process and produce thumb-stopping content that sells multi-million-dollar homes and builds our brand.

Day-to-day You’ll Be:

  • Concepting, shooting, editing, and publishing cinematic property tours, agent branding videos, lifestyle reels, and viral social content
  • Shooting 4K/6K video + pro-level photography (interiors, exteriors, drone, twilight, etc.)
  • Creating platform-specific edits (YouTube long-form, IG Reels, TikTok, Stories)
  • Managing a high-volume, fast-turnaround shooting schedule while keeping quality sky-high

What You Get

Immediate Perks

  • Highly competitive pay + performance bonuses tied to views, leads, lis, and sales
  • Top-tier gear provided (Sony FX3/A7S III, DJI drones, GM lenses, lighting, gimbals, etc.) – bringing your own is a bonus
  • Full access to Adobe Premiere, DaVinci, Lightroom, CapCut, and whatever tools you love
  • Real creative freedom – we want your ideas, not just execution
  • Work alongside driven, high-performing agents and marketers who respect great content

Long-Term Upside (This is where it gets really good)

  • Clear path from contractor → full-time W-2 with full benefits
  • Health insurance, PTO, profit-sharing, and bonus structure
  • We’ll pay for and support you getting your real estate license if you want it
  • Opportunity to eventually build and run your own in-house content agency with us
  • Equity-like upside as we scale our media arm together
  • Front-row seat (and camera) to the Bay Area’s most stunning luxury properties

Compensation & Details

  • $68K – $88K base (DOE) + bonuses that can push total comp well above six figures
  • Start as a contractor with a fast track to full-time employment
  • Monday–Friday core schedule + occasional planned weekend/event shoots
  • Based in San Francisco & Peninsula – mix of office collaboration + field work
  • Immediate start available

Who Thrives Here

  • 3+ years shooting real estate or luxury lifestyle content (portfolio must show it)
  • Mastery of cinematic video + high-end real estate photography
  • Fast editor who can turn around Reels in hours and longer YouTube tours in 1–2 days
  • Self-starter who can run an entire shoot solo when needed
  • A drone license is a big plus
  • Bonus if you already have an audience or understand virality

How to Apply (Serious inquiries only)

Send all of the following to [your email or application link – make sure it’s easy]:

  1. Resume
  2. Portfolio/reel (this is mandatory – no reel = auto-reject)
  3. Links to any social channels you’ve run or heavily contributed to
  4. Short cover letter or (better yet) a 60–90 second video telling us why you’re the perfect fit and what excites you about real estate content
  5. Quick list of gear you currently own (optional but helpful)

We move fast and are interviewing immediately. If your reel makes us say “dang, we need this on our team yesterday,” you’ll hear from us within 48 hours.

Let’s make content that moves the Bay Area real estate market.

Content Creation & Production

  • Capture and deliver high-quality photos, videos, drone footage, and Matterport tours for real estate listings
  • Lead and produce short and long-form content for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and our website
  • Edit all video content to professional standards, maintaining brand consistency across platforms
  • Execute and contribute to a consistent content strategy across all marketing channels
  • Film client testimonials, key exchanges, team moments, and agent-focused content
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive B-roll library of SF and Peninsula neighborhoods and points of interest

Team Collaboration & Leadership

  • Work directly with agents to produce client-focused content and storytelling
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure creative direction aligns with brand guidelines
  • Lead weekly team education sessions (10-15 minutes) on video production tips and social media trends
  • Stay current on platform trends and bring innovative ideas to the content strategy

Brand Building

  • Drive engagement and lead generation through compelling visual storytelling
  • Contribute to campaigns that showcase our team's expertise and personality
  • Help establish OWN Real Estate as the go-to brand for Bay Area real estate content

Your Weekly Rhythm

  • Studio Days: Creative shoots, B-roll collection, editing, and content planning
  • Listing Days: Property photography and videography
  • Flex Time: Client testimonials, key exchanges, and time-sensitive content (may require quick turnarounds)

Required

  • 2+ years of professional videography and editing experience (real estate, media, agency, or similar)
  • Expert proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
  • Strong photography skills and experience with DSLR/mirrorless camera systems
  • Proven ability to shoot and edit engaging short-form content for social media
  • Portfolio demonstrating high-quality video work across multiple platforms
  • Understanding of YouTube, Instagram, TikTok algorithms and content best practices
  • Self-directed, organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the Bay Area
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
