Entry-Level Mechanical Assembler – 1st Shift

Location: Elmhurst, IL | Schedule: 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Mon–Fri)

What You’ll Do (Training Provided)

• Assemble mechanical and electrical components for industrial chillers
• Work with parts such as motors, compressors, fans, pumps, valves, and piping
• Learn to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions
• Assist with copper pipe fitting and basic brazing tasks
• Perform basic electrical wiring following safety standards
• Use hand tools and power tools to complete assemblies
• Conduct quality checks and make minor adjustments as needed
• Track work using a company-provided tablet
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace

What We’re Looking For

We welcome entry-level candidates and those with hands-on experience.

• Interest in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or skilled trades
• Comfortable using or willing to learn hand and power tools
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work on a team
• Strong work ethic and reliability

Helpful but not required experience:

• Assembly, warehouse, or production work
• Construction or automotive repair
• HVAC systems or mechanical equipment
• Basic electrical wiring or brazing

No advanced HVAC or refrigeration experience required. Training will be provided.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elmhurst, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
