Advanced Gardener — Diggable Designs Landscape & Gardening

$21–$23/hour | Full-time seasonal | Mid-March–November | Lakewood, CO / Denver Metro field work

Diggable Designs is hiring an  Advanced Gardener to help care for residential and commercial landscapes across the Denver Metro area and foothill communities.

This is a hands-on outdoor role for someone who enjoys detailed garden work, takes pride in doing things the right way, and wants to grow with a team that values craftsmanship, clear communication, and dependable execution.

The work

As an Advanced Gardener, you’ll help care for a wide variety of home and commercial landscapes. This role includes hands-on gardening, planting, pruning, bed care, irrigation adjustments, and general landscape support.

You’ll work closely with the  Gardening Crew Leader and help keep properties healthy, clean, and looking their best throughout the season.

What success looks like

You’ll be successful in this role when:

• Garden beds are maintained with care and attention to detail. Weeding, pruning, edging, mulching, and planting are done thoroughly and correctly.
• You work safely and steadily. Tools and equipment are used properly, site standards are followed, and safety stays front and center.
• You’re dependable and easy to work with. You show up prepared, communicate well, follow instructions, and contribute to a productive team day.

What you’ll do

• Perform detailed garden maintenance on residential and commercial properties
• Deadhead perennials and annuals
• Weed beds, edge beds, and apply mulch
• Prune shrubs and small trees properly
• Plant perennials, annuals, trees, and shrubs
• Apply fertilizers and pesticides properly when needed
• Make basic irrigation adjustments
• Perform light mowing and other landscape tasks as assigned
• Use hand tools and small machinery safely, including blowers, mowers, hedge trimmers, weed whackers, tillers, shovels, rakes, and wheelbarrows
• Communicate professionally with the Gardening Crew Leader and other team members
• Follow company safety standards, policies, and jobsite expectations

Must-haves

• Minimum 1 year of gardening or landscape experience
• Valid current driver’s license
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to be insured on the company’s vehicle insurance policy
• Strong work ethic and willingness to work outdoors all day
• Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance
• Ability to use hand tools and small machinery safely
• Good attitude, punctuality, and willingness to learn

Schedule and work environment

This is a  full-time seasonal role from mid-March through November .

Work takes place outdoors in typical Colorado conditions, including heat, cold, and changing weather. Job sites vary by day and include residential and commercial properties throughout the Denver Metro area. Team transportation between job sites takes place in a crew vehicle during the workday.

Pay: $21–$23/hour depending on relevant skills and experience
