Position Title: EVENT PRODUCTION MANAGER (CATERING & WEDDINGS) - DENVER, CO  

Compensation: Base salary is $53,000, with uncapped commission opportunity. Most Event Production Managers exceed $70,000 in year one.

Other Forms of Compensation: Yearly bonus opportunity. Car allowance and phone stipend.

Job Summary

As a Catering Manager, you will be responsible for handling all event details once made definite by the Catering Salesperson in a creative and collaborative environment. You will partner with the internal team members to ensure success events, ensuring that standards and rations are upheld while working with budgets of all levels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Secure signed contracts, deposits and full event details
• Generate detailed event plans such as execution plans, timelines and diagrams
• Coordinate additional vendors such as rental providers, alcohol purveyors and entertainment
• Tracks and monitors the labor and food cost for each event
• Communicates on various levels to include management, client, customer and associate levels; maintains excellent client relationships
• Attend events (and assist as needed) to ensure success
• Lead and motivate on-site teams
• Handle post-event details such as follow-up calls/meetings and billing
• Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

• 2 years of food service experience including 1 year at the management level.
• Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
• Catering experience is required.
• Some knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
• Financial, budgetary, accounting and computational skills.
• Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
• ServSafe Certification.
