If you said “yes,” here’s what you’ll do:

• Prepare and process air-related samples using established techniques (weighing, ashing, filtering).
• Operate laboratory instruments following standard procedures and best practices.
• Capture, organize, and review data to help ensure accuracy and traceability.
• Follow safety guidelines consistently and support a tidy, well-run lab.
• Collaborate with teammates and adapt as priorities shift.

Must-haves

• High school diploma (associate degree preferred).
• Basic familiarity with sample preparation steps such as weighing, ashing, and filtering.
• Proficiency with Windows OS and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Attention to detail, a proactive approach, and effective communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience operating laboratory instruments or performing equipment maintenance.
• Knowledge of NIOSH methodologies (0500, 0600, 7500).
• Experience in analytical or environmental testing.

Education and exposure

• High school diploma is required; an associate degree and relevant experience are a plus.
• Prior exposure to sample preparation or lab procedures is beneficial but not necessary.
