Combo Welder

$25-$35+/Hour | Overtime Available | Full-Time Hampton Roads, VA

Immediate Openings for Experienced Combo Welders

We're hiring skilled Combo Welders to support industrial and construction projects throughout the Hampton Roads area. If you're experienced with TIG and Stick welding on pipe and plate and can read blueprints, we want to hear from you.

This is a great opportunity for dependable welders seeking steady work, long-term projects, and plenty of hours.

What You'll Do

• Perform TIG and Stick welding on pipe and plate.
• Weld various joint types including:
  • Socket welds
  • Butt welds
  • Consumable ring joints
  • Backing ring joints
  • Open-root butt welds
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications.
• Perform pipefitting duties including measuring, cutting, fitting, and assembling piping systems.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and compliance with project requirements.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Follow all site safety regulations and company policies.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 3 years of Combo Welding experience .
• Strong TIG and Stick welding skills on pipe and plate.
• Industrial pipefitting experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Experience in industrial, commercial, or construction environments.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in physically demanding conditions.
• Reliable transportation and strong work ethic.
• Must provide basic hand tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Industrial fabrication experience.
• Experience working in shipyard, power generation, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments.
• OSHA certifications are a plus.

Schedule

• Day Shift
• Typical hours: 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• 5-7 days per week

This is a Permanent position based out of Chesapeake, VA.

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $70000.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Chesapeake,VA.
