Job Description

Your next career chapter: elevate every brew

Imagine a morning where a cafe can’t serve its first latte. You arrive, diagnose a control board issue, swap parts from your well-organized van, verify performance, close the work order with complete notes—and the line starts moving again. That’s the impact you’ll make as a Coffee Brewing Equipment Service Engineer with Farmer Brothers’ Revive Service & Restoration team.

Our mission

We install, restore, and maintain commercial coffee and tea equipment so our customers deliver consistently great beverages. You’ll be a trusted field engineer for a defined customer base—owning installs, removals, maintenance, and urgent repairs.

How you’ll contribute

  • Execute end-to-end equipment lifecycle work: installations, removals, repairs, surveys, and preventive maintenance.
  • Respond to emergency service calls and participate in an after-hours/weekend on-call rotation.
  • Maintain accurate van stock: manage spare parts levels and reorder within replenishment rules.
  • Complete thorough documentation—call closure, time and labor details, invoice accuracy, and customer signatures.
  • Coordinate with the team to plan, schedule, and deliver installation projects on time.
  • Communicate clearly with customers; relay field insights and requests to management and cross-functional teams.
  • Honor service level agreements and prioritize work to meet program expectations.

Schedule, travel, and physical needs

  • Standard hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
  • On-call coverage required, including weekends.
  • Primary territory within a 100-mile radius; occasional regional travel as business requires.
  • Lift up to 60 lbs frequently and work safely in customer environments.

Experience and capabilities

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 3 years of mechanical/technical field experience.
  • Preferred: foodservice industry experience.
  • Preferred: electrical, plumbing, HVAC background and proficiency with test/tech meters.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record; ability to travel 100+ miles from the branch.
  • Advanced troubleshooting: mechanical and electrical diagnostics, schematic reading, installation, wiring, and repairs.
  • Comfort balancing scheduled PMs with unscheduled emergencies, surveys, and installs.

Who thrives here

  • Customer advocates with strong written and verbal communication.
  • Independent self-starters who also collaborate well.
  • People who use sound judgment, make decisions confidently, and support company goals.
  • Listeners who notice issues and opportunities—and act on them to grow the business.
  • Relationship builders who earn trust with every visit.

  • In addition to base salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, which may include benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off.
  • The total leave provided in the Company’s Paid Time Off (“PTO”) policy is in at least an amount of hours and pay sufficient to satisfy the requirements of state or local laws in the locations where the Company operates.
